Close to the city, yet a world apart, lies Port Melbourne. This is where the city stockbrokers and lawyers trade their suits for jogging gear and breathe in the seaside ambience of this seaside suburb. Since the mid 1800’s it has been the first glimpse of Melbourne that many people traveling from overseas and interstate have had. While it is not quite the bustling port it once was, it’s now bustling in a different way! Many of the locals live in the now renovated workers cottages that were built in the nineteenth century.
