St Kilda East and Caulfield
|
East St Kilda, (also encompassing Balaclava) is one of the more diverse and densely settled neighbourhoods of Melbourne.
Quiet and residential, East St Kilda is quite a different neighbourhood from the spectacle of its adjacent neighbourhood, St Kilda.
Next door to St Kilda East is Caulfield, home to Caulfield Racecourse and the Caulfield campus Monash University. The neighbourhood has a large Jewish population and is one of well serviced by public transport.

WHAT TO SEE
|
Its main shopping strip, Carlisle Street plays to a more local crowd and makes a refreshing alternative to the bustle of inner St Kilda. It’s a popular spot for young and old, with a great variety of groovy cafes, relaxed restaurants, European Delicatessens and Bagel Bakeries.
