How do I book an apartment?

On our home page you can Search for accommodation by entering your travel dates or preferred search fields: preferred location, no. of people, price, etc.. and then press “submit”
All the available properties will be shown according to the criteria you selected.
Select your preferred apartment. To calculate the price of the accommodation, press the "calculate price" button.
If you agree with the price and property details you can proceed with booking the apartment by following all the steps and providing your information as requested on the booking form.


What is the payment procedure?

In order to confirm your booking, a deposit is required.
You can make this prepayment online by Mastercard, Visa or American Express. Alternatively you may call us to make a booking and pay by bank transfer. Please fax the bank transfer receipt to Stay With Style (+ 63 03 95349218) to confirm the booking.


Where or to whom will I have to pay the balance of rent?
You will have to pay the balance of rent directly to the owner or guardian of the accommodation, in cash (aus $) and on arrival at the accommodation. Some apartments require you to pay the balance of the rent to the owner prior to arrival by bank transfer or credit card. Details will be specified on your booking confirmation.

When will I receive the booking confirmation?
Usually you receive it within 24 hours of making your booking, provided that the reservation form has been filled in correctly. We cannot confirm the booking unless we receive the required information and the booking deposit. Please note, we update our listings constantly to ensure the real-time booking service for accommodation in Melbourne.

When will I know the address and the owners details?
After receiving your booking confirmation, you will receive an email confirmation with all your reservation details, including the name and contact number of the person you will meet at the apartment.

Where and when will I receive the keys?
The owner or contact person of the accommodation will handover the keys and show you the property upon your arrival.

Is there a security deposit I have to pay on arrival?
How can I check the amount I have to pay as a deposit?

A cash security deposit is an amount of money that is requested in addition to the cost of staying in the apartment. It is returned on your departure assuming that there has been no damage to the apartment, or no extra cleaning is required. For some apartments a cash deposit is not required as the owner will ask to hold your credit card details as security However for some apartments you may be required to pay a security deposit which will be specified on the booking form. Please note the owner may request your passport or Australian drivers licence details as security.

What will I have to bring along?
All our listings are fully furnished, equipped with bed linen and bath towels. Beach towels are not provided. There may be some courtesy supplies on arrival but as the apartments are self- catering you will need to buy any supplies of food and toilet paper for yourself and personal belongings.

How can I cancel my accommodation reservation?
All cancellations must be made by e-mail or fax to Stay With Style. Please note that our conditions for cancellation differ depending on how much advance notice you give for the cancellation. For further information, please consult our terms and conditions.

Will I be refunded if I cancel my accommodation reservation?
Usually, our conditions for the cancellation of an accommodation depend on the date the client cancels his/her reservation. Please, check the terms of cancellation of a reservation in our terms and conditions.

How far in advance should I book accommodation?
Our accommodation is very much in demand, especially during high season. Therefore we would always advise that you book as soon as you decide on which apartment you would like to let to make sure you get the one you want. Please note: We confirm the reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Is it safe to fill in the payment form with my credit card details?
We take every precaution to protect your information, especially sensitive information such as your credit card number. We use a Thwates Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is an Internet security protocol used by Internet browsers and servers to transmit sensitive information. We also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to our offices. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and our Privacy Policy

Which methods of payment do you accept?
For the Booking Deposit we accept credit card (Visa /MasterCard, American Express) or bank transfer payable directly to us - find bank details below. The outstanding balance has to be paid directly to the owner on the day of arrival unless otherwise specified. Some owners also accept bank transfer before your arrival. If you prefer this, please check with him/her directly once you received the booking confirmation with his/her contact details.

Can I pay Stay With Style the balance due after the prepayment?
No. This is not possible. The balance due on an accommodation has to be paid directly to the owner.

Can I pay the balance due by credit card?
No. This is not possible, unless the owner has their own credit facilities. In most cases, you have to pay the balance due IN CASH. Details of paying the remainder are given on each apartment page.
Of course, you will receive a receipt of payment.


Can I receive an invoice?
As the accommodation listed on our website are private properties, it is not always possible to receive an invoice for the total amount of the reservation. If an invoice is required, please contact Stay With Style before making a reservation.

Our Step by Step Guide to renting one of our apartments

Step 1:
Get To The Apartment

On booking we will send you a detailed description of how to get to your chosen apartment.

Step 2:
Check In

In most instances someone will wait for you at the apartment at an agreed time to show you around the apartment and check that everything is to your satisfaction. You will also be shown how to work any equipment such as air conditioning, stereo, etc.. and give you the keys. This is a great time to ask your contact person for any restaurant or bar recommendations and local sights. Alternatively the keys will be left on a key safe for you.

Pay The Balance

You will be asked to pay the remaining balance of your stay to the contact person. This will be in cash (AUS$) or bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed with the owner. Details of paying the remainder are given on confirmation of your booking request.

Sign The Agreement

You will sign a short term agreement that says you are happy with the apartment, will behave in a reasonable way in the apartment and that you will be liable for any damages if they occur, or extra cleaning charges should the apartment need it.

Security Deposit

As specified at the time of booking you may be asked to leave a security deposit with the contact person. This will be stated on the agreement you sign. It is returned on your departure assuming that there has been no damage to the apartment, or no extra cleaning is required. For some apartments a security deposit is not required as the owner will ask to view photo id and the details of your credit card as security.

Step 3:
Have A Great Time

Celebrate your arrival in Melbourne! … but please remember to respect the neighbors and treat the apartment with due care

Step 4:
Check Out

Before or during your stay a check-out time will be arranged with your contact person. Check out time is no later than 11.00am on the morning of your departure. Your contact person will check the condition of the apartment and providing everything is in order, refund the security deposit.

Step 5:
Feedback

Shortly after you have arrived home we will email you to obtain feedback. This is very important to us as it aids in maintaining our high standard of comfort and service.
